The Enigma of Time

I'm not going to lie to you, this book is no great American novel. I'm not some scholar with a fancy degree. I'm just some guy who loves stories, and wanted to write my own. This isn't the kind of book you curl up with next to the fire with coco and a warm blanket. It's more the type of book you read when you have some time to kill in a waiting room, or on the toilet. I don't spend a lot of time describing every little detail about everything surrounding the main character. No I tell a fast passed, hopefully entertaining story. I personally am a movie watching, video game playing and comic book reading kind of person, and as such I wrote the kind of book someone who likes those sort of things would read. It'll probably have a few typo's, and maybe some poor grammar in a few spots, but if you can over look those thing, then give the synapses below a look at and see if the story interests you. After all I'm only going to charge a buck for the book, and I'm sure you have paid more for a crummy cup of coffee before, and this book is definitely better than a crummy cup of coffee.

The Enigma of Time, is a science fiction time travel story that tries to step away from the normal conventions of other time travel stories. To do that The Enigma of Time steps from the use of a time machine. Instead the main character William Mcloud travels through, and controls time all with the power of his mind. He has the ability to travel through time with only his mind because of a bold action no time traveler has ever done before. To gain the ability to control time William travels back in time and stops himself from ever being born. This may sound a little farfetched, but his idea is that by doing such a crazy thing William will create a time paradox around himself, which makes him a man outside of time’s control. William goes through with this plan not just to gain incredible power, but for a much grander mission. William travels back in time in order to save the future of Earth. There are aspects of William’s personal life that he would like to go back and change, like the death of his wife, but he puts his personal desires aside in order to save the future from an unknown doom. The impending doom William is traveling through time to try and correct was first realized when Willam and a group of scientist sent deep space satellites through a black hole in order to see into the future, but the future they saw was that of a lifeless Earth. The team of scientists tries everything they can to find out what happens in the future, but they only had so many years before the unknown event would kill them and all other life on Earth. Unable to find out what happens, one day before all life on Earth would come to an end, William travels back in time to stop his parents from ever meeting which would keep William from being born, and create the time paradox that would give him the ability to control time, and find a way to save the Earth. In his attempts to save the future William will try changing Earth’s history in order to hopefully change the future for the better. William first travels back in time from the year 2999 however, so he won’t be changing anything that happened before the twenty first century, but from what we would consider the future instead. Between the twenty second century and thirty first century the Earth has gone through some incredible events. Humanity has dealt with events like World War 3, nuclear war, power shortages, global disasters, disease, religious persecution, and a worldwide government dictatorship. William will travel back to all these events to change them in order to hopefully stop whatever is going to kill all life on Earth in the future. During William's travels through time he will come across a multitude of other colorful and unique people that come from many different eras’. All in a quest to understand the future, and hopefully save it.
