I Declare Love 2nd Edition: Your Daily Affirmations From the First Church of Periscope

The media has stated that 31 million people have left the church. But what the media has not said is that 31 million people have not left God. The Lord gave me a vision for a virtual church over two years ago when I was talking to one of my clients. It came up in one of our coaching sessions because she had gotten to the place where she was tired of going to church and leaving feeling worse after church service. She told me, "Dr. Sims, you should start an online (virtual) church". I chewed on it and said you know that is a great idea. I began to research "online churches" and if I can be honest, that is about all I did. But almost 2 months ago, a friend introduced me to this thing called Periscope. One thing led to another and on the evening of June 13, the Lord impressed upon my heart to start “The First Church of Periscope - A Safe Place Community”. A place where believers can come and worship, hear a relevant word, sow seed offerings, and feel like they have been to "CHURCH". There is no judgment, no condemnation, and no drama ;).
