When Dr. Kelly Taylor accepts a job offer from her long-time best friend Angie, she hopes that a cross-country move will be just what she needs to forget her past. While she has been successful in her professional life as a private physician in an Assisted Living Facility, her personal life has forced her to give up the job that she loved. Determined to get away from her obsessive ex girlfriend, Kelly leaves Tallahassee with high hopes. When she arrives in the Pacific Northwest city of Marilyn, Oregon, Kelly is thrilled to see Angie and meet her best friend's elusive twin sister. When she meets with Alex for the first time, Kelly is surprised to find herself instantly attracted to a woman whose outward appearance is the exact opposite of the women she usually dates.
