Henry Phibbs is an American who has settled down in India due to his love for Indian wildlife. He retires from the Indian Forest Service to his ancestral estate and plans to lead a relaxed life on his fish farm. But the Indian Government has other plans for him. The Government calls him back from retirement. A tiger he had nurtured and watched as it grew up from a cub to a sturdy male has gone rogue. It is a man eater with sixty human kills to its credit. The Indian Government wants it killed. Who will kill it?It is the age of forest and wildlife conservation and big game hunters have gone extinct. Except for a few old men who are still alive.
