Two Lovers flee the Spanish Inquisition only to be swept into the Conquest of Old Mexico

 
Fernando and Rosita living ordinary lives are suddenly swept up by the Spanish Inquisition, tortured and forced into public repentance. Then they are branded as heretics and cast out, shunned. They flee to the New World seeking a new life, to Cuba, only to be swept up and into the conquest of Old Mexico when Hernando Cortés invades the Aztec Empire. Fernando and Rosita are there to the bitter, bitter end, the end of the Aztec Empire, the end of the fifth age.
