Interview with the Author – Payton Hart

Q - So, what separates Payton Hart from other authors.
A – Probably the fact that I'm an impatient reader. I read alot myself and if I'm not engaged within the first couple of pages I'll switch to another one. This probably makes me more persistent in writing engaging short reads as I focus on the 2 hours it takes to read it and every minute counts..

Q – What books do you like reading
A - Well, I am a compulsive reader and listing them would take all day. Jokes aside, I am a history fanatic and therefore love historical romance. The medieval era has great appeal since it has so many untold stories. I enjoy a good highlander romance and it's mainly for that reason I started the highlander series, but really will pick up any realistic medieval historical romance with an edge.

Q – What inspires you when writing your romance books
A – I am inspired by books I've read, in particular authors like Julie Garwood and Marsha Canham. I also love the outdoors and after reading a romance book I often spend time alone thinking over it and then often I get a new idea. It's the greatest feeling.
