Secret Place

A soldier visits his sister in the north of England and loses his way.

He finds himself in a remote village which is still living in Victorian times. There is no electricity and no modern appliances. He instinctively feels something is wrong.

Firstly he realises no strangers are permitted in the village and he is arrested and sent to prison. Secondly, there are no old people in the quaint community.

During the days and nights that follow, he learns that the woman he lives with holds a secret close to her soul. A secret he soon understands is held by the entire village. When he uncovers this first mystery, one which shakes him to the core, he becomes determined to find out everything that is being hidden.

But will it end in happiness, tragedy or disaster? That's the enigma he has to unravel.
