Year of the Snail

Year of the Snail is a story of love, life, tragedy and nostalgia.
The story opens in the present with a man, Luke DuBoulieu, and his son visiting the village of Thorndyke where he once lived and was brought up.
He is reminded of his younger days, particularly his first love, and his thoughts regress back to a time and place in his past. It is here that the main story begins as a troubled teenager at school and continues as he recalls his journey through the the trials and tribulations of early adulthood. Along the way he encounters tragedy, crime, romance and illness in his pursuit of contentment.
