Kaguya-Hime: An Elementary Japanese Reader (Japanese Through FairyTales Book 1)

(look inside is not kind to formatting of Japanese text. Still trying to get this fixed, while still allowing flowing text.)
Practice reading Japanese with the classic tale of Kaguyahime.

Taketori is a lumberjack who one day encounters a shining stalk of bamboo, upon cutting it open he finds a small beautiful child. He takes the child home and raises her as his own. She grows up into a beautiful princess, but there is one problem. She becomes very sad every time she looks at the moon.

This book contains parallel text side by side along with a running glossary. Practice your Japanese and increase your vocabulary in a fun and interesting way.

Included are several illustrations done by Kakuzo Fujiyama who illustrated this same tale over 100 years ago.
