At time controversial, he was most readily identified as a writer for "Weird Tales" magazine, but he contributed to a wide range of publications with story in a variety of genres.
Honest John Carmody, one of the many characters created by Price, is an insurance investigator." He Pulled a Gun, Murder Salvage, and Prune Picking Patriot" presents three stories from "Candid Detective," "Spicy Detective" and "Hollywood Detective" respectively.
