Leaves

With the coming of autumn, nights grow long, cold winds blow, and dead leaves fall. In this blighted season, Davis tries to help his daughter cope with the loss of her mother by shielding her from fear. But that's difficult when ancient terrors are rising across the world, and it becomes harder still when a prophet of the dark powers appears in their Midwestern town. How far will Davis go to keep his daughter away from the madman, and what will happen if he crosses the line?

"Leaves" is a story in the tradition of H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos and also a tale of Halloween.
