Earth is going to be attacked by the Pzug.
And it’s all Cordell’s fault.
After all, if it weren’t for him, two young women from the double-planet Versac-Nestantia would never have to come Earth in the first place.
Princess Haza and her childhood friend, Fia, claim to have been sent to Cordell by a mysterious box they found on a desolate planet, telling them that he is their destiny.
There are few men left on Versac-Nestantia. Wars have greatly diminished the male population of the planets to the point that their women have to go to other planets to find mates, which they do peacefully.
The same cannot be said for their rivals, the warlike Pzug. Due to many years of genetic experimentation, the Pzug male, once muscular, handsome and intelligent, is now short, squat, homely and not very smart. They can no longer reproduce with the beautiful and intelligent Pzug female.
As a result, the Pzug females are on a mission: Find men.
Collectors of technology, the Pzug utilize anything they can get their hands on to accomplish this goal. They even traverse alternate universes in search of the male that can put a baby in their collective womb.
And they think the men of Earth are just what they’re looking for.
However, they have to contend with Princess Haza, her planets’ attack forces and two unidentified beings from the depths of the universe sometimes known at Travelers.
The war starts out even, with neither side gaining ground.
That is, until Princess Haza’s side develops Strike Aura. Strike Aura taps into the energy of the human aura, primarily using anger as a weapon to inflict great damage upon the enemy. It can also be used to heal and to calm and to procure the truth. There are side-effects, however. If used for healing, the healer can develop instant deep feelings for the one being healed. If used to inflict damage, the user can become enraged, out of control and self-destructive.
Strike Aura is not a perfect weapon. But it could be the weapon that ultimately wins the war.
A war that must be won if Earth, and Cordell, are to survive.
