Kannada Mahabharata: 01 Adi Parva 011 Chaitraratha Parva: Simple Kannada Translation of the original Sanskrit Vyasa Mahabharata

This is the 11th of the 100 Upa Parvas. situated in the first of the 18 Maha Parvas of the original Vyasa Mahabharata. In this Chapter, the Pandavas listen to the rivalry between Drona the Brahmin and Drupada the Kshatriya and the birth of Draupadi and Drishtadyumna who were begotten by Drupada to take revenge for his defeat by Drona. Further the Chapter describes the defeat of Gandharva king Chitraratha by Arjun, when the former attacked the Pandavas when they were traveling to Draupadi's Svayamvara. The story of how Draupadi will have 5 husbands as told by Vyasa to the Pandavas, as well as the stories of Tapati-Samvarana and Vishvamitra-Vasistha as told by the Gandharva king to Arjuna are also included in this Chapter.
