Once a Jarhead is a collection of short stories. The stories range from a Marine alone in the desert trying to follow orders and live up to the strict code of a leatherneck to stories of Marines on Liberty in Mexico reminding us of the songs of the old breed, "Better lock your daughters up," to a man who fishing trip turns into an adventure he'd never forget. The stories come from a Jarhead who has earned his blood stripes and continues to serve his nation as a commissioned officer in the Army after his time in the Marines.
