Description
A tale told through the eyes of Minkey the cat. A cat who at times, thinks a lot and at other times, when his instincts take rein, doesn’t think much at all. But mostly he sleeps. With reasonably good grace he shares his home with Mamma and Dadda Cat, who he is most fond of, particularly Dadda Cat.
When tragedy strikes, firstly Dadda, then Minkey himself, he reevaluates his life and realizes nothing and no-one lasts forever. Key to this understanding are his trials and tribulations with his nemesis, Mr Rat, who along with his rodent brethren have the audacity to invade Minkey’s territory and steal the succulent grapes which ripen each summer.
A touching story, that is both funny and sad. Though it is appropriate for older children, the themes and content would appeal more to the adult reader. Meow.
