To all the courageous young sailors who served aboard the L.S.T. 534:

This book is written with the simple idea to; hopefully in some way help the world appreciate and comprehend just what; these truly brave, young men that served as sailors aboard their ship, during World War Two. And how their brave contributions through the, contributed to the allies eventful triumphs over both the Japanese as well as the Germans, during the war. Read the book and you’ll become aware of their exciting and truly unbelievable story.

The sailors that made up the crew were from all walks of life, from all over the country, but still somehow managed to come together, so bravely to do the job that was assigned to them. Eventually becoming a well-oiled team, and developed lifelong friendships, and in the end brothers!
