Negotiating Love on Space Station 43

As financial adviser for a prominent space mining corporation, Lucinda Waters is outstanding at her job as long as she doesn't have to talk to anyone. She was content enough, with her introverted, simple existence. That was until gorgeous Wade Winthrop, a born Prime, interrupted her life. Primes are the genetically altered financial and social elites. But, being a Regular, Lucinda is a genetic gamble and not in the same realm as any Prime. Wade wants her to advance at work and use her talents to benefit the company. After their disastrous first meeting, Lucinda refuses Wade's big plans for her. He doesn’t give up and paves the way for her to get an unbelievable promotion as an adviser to a board member.

After negotiating the terms of her work, Lucinda takes the job. Then, as a shock to her, Wade keeps returning to visit Lucinda, his new little buddy. Too bad Wade doesn't notice Lucinda as a desirable woman. She decides to make major changes in her appearance and shy habits before attending a business conference on Space Station 43. There, she doesn't aspire to find her white knight, only a man for the night.

During the conference, things heat up when Lucinda tries to venture out for happy-hour. Wade sees her for the first time as more than a friend. She finally opens her mouth and nearly chokes on her foot. Now she's dealing with more friction than she can handle: attraction, threats, a kidnapping and too many possible adversaries.

Lucinda and Wade have enough chemistry to set the space station on fire. But their differences are too vast. She has no more expectation than having a few fun days with Wade. But her heart doesn't want to give up the notion of a future together. Wade is so blindsided by his attraction to Lucinda he doesn't know which way is up – a difficult task anyway in zero gravity.
