Men in White Coats: A student nurse.. they told her she'd be labelled as a trouble-maker.

Your world should be your oyster as a young woman, but for Yvonne Goodwin its tough. She dreams of becoming a nurse, but has been left to care for her alcoholic father after her mum leaves him. She gets the opportunity to embark on a two year course at a remote psychiatric hospital, but trying to manage her own life with that of her father's becomes intolerable. She makes the difficult decision to also leave the family home, him to live in at the nurses' home. She makes many friends and meets Andy, a handsome middle class Staff nurse, but has issues with her breasts which inhibit their sex life.
As the course progresses, Yvonne discovers that what is taught in school, doesn't always apply on the wards, especially on an all male ward where she finds the two nurses indifferent and secretive. When a tragic incident happens between two patients, Yvonne suspects the staff are lying. Expect; Alcoholism.. Prostitution.. Domestic violence.. Death.. Cruelty.. Friendship.. Sex and Humour.
