Damn, Girl. That Sucks.

Meet Ivy Baines.  She wants to be the next great American playwright.  It's her ticket to happiness.  Not that life is having any of it.  The harder she works, the harder life gets.  She's barely sleeping.  Hardly eating.  She's programmed to go, go, go!  Ivy knows what she needs to do, and her eye is on the ball--the ball being on Broadway in New York City.

But this week--it's harder than most.  And when added on top of every other rotten thing that has happened to her--it's time to go full-on mental meltdown . . . mean people really do suck.

What Ivy doesn't know--or hasn't realized yet--is that she's going to have to let go.  Give in.  And listen to what her life is trying to tell her.  Because what she thinks she needs may not be what she really needs at all.  So when everything she's ever worked for starts to crumble all around her, it might just be her life talking louder, trying to show her the way.  Or it might just be life really trying to take her down.

Will new friends help open Ivy's eyes?  Is there real love in her future?  Will Ivy find real happiness?

It'll be up to Ivy and the choices she makes, but letting go is hard.  There's all that uncertainty.  And the pain of disappointment, failure, feeling lost, and needing hope.  But if she can be brave and take a chance, she might just get it all.
