A Forbidden Love

Lady Esther might be an earl’s daughter, but she is also the daughter of two prominent members of the American abolitionist movement. So it’s no wonder she has no desire to spend her life attending parties and being courted by the sons of the ton. No, she wants more out of life. She wants to forsake gentle society and sail to America to teach children of former slaves, helping them find a brighter future. And what better way to accomplish this goal than to join with the man she loves, a man who ran from her during a stolen moment in her father’s library.

Elijah spent his early childhood picking cotton under the harsh bondage of slavery and the latter as an earl’s child, receiving an education that far surpassed what he could ever hope for.
