Don't Worry we have Photoshop: A Photographers' Memoir

This book started life as a series of articles which were going to be published on my website as blogs. However, the thought occurred to me that the sum of the whole was greater, and a much better read, as it covers 10 years of a Pro Photographers life, covering the time spent in Europe, before relocating back to Australia, in 2001. In this book, some names have been altered, but if you’re in here, you’ll know who you are, I’ve changed the names for a number of reasons. You will read of my efforts to learn languages, stay cool in the face of adversity, manage a career with the help of a few agents, achieve success, of a kind, feed my family in Paris, Madrid and Munich, and generally live the life.
I seriously have had a sub-machinegun almost jammed up my nose, worked for what could be known as the ‘Russian Mafia’ in Paris, travelled to exotic locations, been approached by Arabic men wanting to buy my model, met supermodels (however briefly), been mugged on the streets of Madrid, worked with top designers, stylists, and make-up artists, worked with wonderful editors and art directors, and all in a mixture of English, German and French. True Tales indeed! A life lived, sometimes with joy, sometimes with sadness, been flat broke, been flush, had all the ups and downs and disappointments that one gets along the way, but, above all, maintained my sense of humour, and my integrity! I feel I’ve come away from it all with more resilience, and courage. So, read on!..................
