Description
I put this anthology together for my Composition II students at East Georgia State College, but it should be useful to a wide variety of students and teachers.
Features in the current edition:
--an original edition of Oedipus the King created specifically for this anthology
--linked table of contents
--linked footnotes
--line numbers for poetry and drama (these are in superscript to avoid major formatting problems)
--sections for Fiction, Poetry, and Drama
--an Appendix with documents about writing that will be helpful to student writers
--a Helpful Links page with links to pages about writing, grammar, and literature
--links throughout the text that take students to free audio editions of the works (including some read by the authors) and selections from performances of the plays
Features coming soon in an update:
--paragraph numbers for fiction
--expanded footnotes and links
--additional documents on academic writing
--sample essays
--an original edition of Antigone (coming in March 2016)
*NOTE ON FORMATTING*
It is very difficult to preserve formatting for poetry in a ebook. I have done my best in this textbook to make it easy to read the poetry and drama without major formatting problems. If you're reading this book on a phone, you can avoid most formatting problems by turning your phone in landscape mode and reducing the size of the text.
I will be adding more stories, poems, and plays throughout 2016, so feel free to make requests in the feedback.
