A Black Experience in Poetry from 1937- Present is a book of poetry dealing with today's bigotry, racism and police brutality. The poems are dedicated to all the mothers and fathers who lost sons and daughters because of the injustices of our justice system. Some poems reflect early childhood experiences as well as the mental anguish of living in an oppressive society. Other poems deal with life in general from observations and personal experiences.
