Jimi tells his story of touring in the music world, seeing dreams come true and dreams shattered. For 13 years he was the lead singer/guitar player and chief songwriter for national recording artist, Christian acoustic/rock band Age of Faith. AOF toured 200 days a year releasing 5 recordings and earning a #1 radio hit on the Christian music charts and several other top 40 releases. This book paints a vivid picture of the struggle in the music industry and the continual fight to stay in the game while maintaining a true sense of calling to share his faith through music. He shares how a change of career, a continual struggle with identity, and a bicycle wreck would result in him becoming a man he never imagined he could become. In 2005 Jimi released the first edition of this story under the same title (but with a different subtitle) and vaguely described his struggle with depression. However, that was only a fraction of the real story. What he purposely did not reveal to people in that first book was his struggle and life altering addiction to prescription pain medication. This book does that. He openly allows the reader into his private world of addiction and depression. It is often unbelievable, sad, graphic, and yet honest and real.

This is also a book of hope, redemption and restoration. It is a testimony that although addiction will destroy a life, it doesn t have to. One chapter, written by Jimi s wife, is a sincere and honest look through the eyes of the innocent and how addiction affects others.
