The Quest for Immortality: And Other Misguided Adventures

This book, which actually focuses much more on life than death, came about because of my strong desire to figure out how to cheat death and live forever. I assume that since the greatest minds have been unable to figure out how to do this, the answer must be something that would only occur to a complete idiot. That pretty much means it’s up to me. Maybe rather than drinking a cocktail of specially developed super drugs, the answer is to drink a quart of swamp mud and eat three opossum livers while playing In-a-gadda-da-vida on the banjo. I bet Einstein never thought of that!

Join me on my quest as I reflect upon life in the hope that I’ll gain the insight needed to understand EXACTLY what immortality would mean for me. Now is as good a time as any to look at where I’ve been, where I am, and what I’ve learned from my marriage, kids, parents, and other life experiences. As I review my life, I find myself asking the most important question about life and the idea of being immortal: Do I REALLY want to do this forever?
