About the Book
Chemistry is the science concerned with compounds composed of atoms (elements), and molecules, which are combinations of atoms whose composition, structure, properties, behavior changes during a reaction with other compounds. Chemistry considers how atoms and molecules interact via chemical bonds to form new chemical compounds. There are four types of chemical bonds: covalent bonds, where compounds share one or more electron(s); ionic bonds, where a compound donates one or more electrons to another compound to produce ions (cations and anions); hydrogen bonds; and Van der Waals force bonds.
About us
Leopold Classic Library has the goal of making available to readers the classic books that have been out of print for decades.
