??? How did you get into stories like this?

I didn’t always love reading demon hunter books. My favorite book growing up (and to this day) is A Wrinkle in Time, but I didn’t have a love for reading at all. When I reached the seventh grade we had to read books. She didn’t care what books we read, they could be dark fantasy novels, they could be horror, they could even have vampires in them. She didn’t care. The teacher had a lot of vampire fantasy free books in her classroom library, and once I found those, I was hooked. That's what made me offer vampire free ebooks to share that love.

??? Who should read this book?

Anyone who likes vampire fantasy free books. I know a lot of adults read young adult, and that’s awesome. There’s nothing too graphic in my book, and while there’s a tiny bit of swearing, I’ve read much worse. The real audience I was going for are those women out there who love demon hunter books and those looking for awesome vampire free ebooks. I find I have a lot in common with women my age, and my characters are typically of the female variety and just starting out in life, so that works. Honestly, these books could work for anyone.

??? Are there any authors who've shaped your writing?

I've read a few vampire fantasy free books but for the most part these demon hunter books weren't inspired by Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Another author who really sparked my interest in vampires was Jeanne Kalogridis. She has this series Diaries of the Family Dracul that sparked a vampire obsession in me. She wove together history and dark fantasy so artfully that she often made me late for work! I strove to stick close to vampire legends like her when writing them. That's when the idea of vampire horror novels came to me. I love offering one book free in every series, so vampire free ebooks are the way for me. At least with this novel.
