Elizabeth and Jane Bennet meet the new tenant of Netherfield when they are involved in an accident. Lizzy couldn't care less about the haughty Mr Darcy: she's more interested in the new physician in town, Dr Gregory. Nor is the very experienced Mr Darcy about to fall for a country chit; but as the local fauna, and her arts and allurements conspire against him, he makes a grave miscalculation. Humor/Angst. "Wow. What a thoroughly fun read this was! I just finished a near binge-read of Via Luton and it is simply exquisite. All the P&P spirit is here and the characters are beautifully drawn. Finally a way for Elizabeth's fine mind and caring sensibilities to shine - through medicine and caring for wounded soldiers. It also serves to improve her sisters by giving them direction and purpose. I liked that Elizabeth had her "cold-feet" moment - brave as she is - and was able to reconcile her fears. A tremendous effort certainly that has humor, intrigue, adult-fun...it's all here. Thank you for bringing this [to] us P&P fans - a good story is always so very welcome"
