Nani's Tale

Nani, an innocent little girl, faces a life of turmoil, chaos, and tragedy at the age of two. When her mother meets Calvin Smith, life as she knew it goes into a downward spiral. She is abused physically, mentally, and sexually. Nani is exposed to drugs and crime, and is told the father she never knew is in prison.

Nani finds a sense of peace when the Rogers family comes into her life. Mrs. Rogers, her kindergarten teacher, becomes the emulation of what a good mother is supposed to be, while Mr. Rogers, a pastor, becomes her version of a real father figure. Danny, the Rogers son, becomes the brother she never had and eventually one of her main sources of protection and comfort. Nani desperately fights to overcome obstacles that she never even knew existed. She finds help in the power of God, prayer, and the genuine love of a caring family.
