How They Make Angels: By: Glyndon E. Green

The past four years have been a labor of love as I gathered stories describing my father and his family. They were a typical family living in a rural area of Kentucky. While they were typical, they lived atypical lives. Lives full of adventure, intrigue, tragedy, fun, sadness, and family. They were close..., they grew apart..., and they grew together once more. The book includes the post civil war era, World War I period, surviving the Great Depression, and their part in World War II. Some of the high points were wealth and prosperity..., the low points were the loss of everything. But, the most important theme throughout this book is the love that each character had for friends and family. The stories I included in the first volume were based upon actual happenings, with some fiction filling in the unknown times. Volume II will be released in the Fall of 2016, and includes more actual history, with very little fiction. The final Volume III, coming in Spring 2017, will be historically accurate, with no fiction. The stories were told to me personally by family and friends. So, please enjoy this humble presentation of my family and their history. This book should be appropriate for middle school and high school students.
