ABOUT AFRICAN PRISONS ARCHITECTURE

This text deals with a reflection on the penitentiary system and its architectural expressions starting from the late eighteenth century to unveil the fact that there is a number of models and monitoring architectural forms of unit and view and it is historically recognized that the imagination of architects has been focused on the construction of a type of building to assemble as many cells as possible in a confined space with a limited watching system.
