Hurled back in time once again, Thea and Stephen are trapped in Saigon, 1975. The Americans have pulled out and the city is in a state of panic as the North Vietnamese Army closes in to finish off the remnants of the government supported by the Unites States. They are in a warehouse under rocket attack and the doors to the time machine will only remain open for twenty-four hours.

While they take cover, both time machines are seized by a fiendish man who thinks they are art objects. He wants to escape the city in the last few hours. He plans to haul his loot out by helicopter and then to a yacht off the coast. They are forced to track him through a city of refugees and find the time machines he’s stolen.

Thea is separated from Stephen in her quest to find a better pair of shoes. The same fiend who’s stolen the time machines kidnaps her. Since the city is in turmoil, he assumes no one will ever miss her. But Stephen witnesses her abduction and knows he must free her . He can’t leave Thea trapped in time.
