In the Town of Church Falls, an idyllic hamlet situated on the Hudson River in upstate New York, the children are being terrorized, abused and murdered. There are no monsters hiding in Church Falls and no invisible danger. The threat hides in plain sight, in the form of local business people, politicians, clergy and even from the local police. Everyone knows what's going on in Church Falls but from fear or complicity, they simply will not say.

The ties of kinship and blood run so deep throughout the community that the nightmare has perpetuated for a period of more than forty years, almost a half century of birth, growing-up, growing-old, and death.
