Based on the author’s experiences with St. Francis Preparatory School in Fresh Meadows, NY, this is the story of two women who were severely sexually harassed as students at this school, twenty years apart – Elizabeth Cucinotta Sorvillo in 1986-1987, and Felicia Mooradian from 2005-2009. In 2007, Elizabeth Sorvillo, thinking her negative experience with her drivers’ ed teacher was an anomaly, left her law practice and went back to teach business at St. Francis Prep. After a four-year stretch which included her students winning the prestigious NYC Stock Market Game sponsored by SIFMA, she decided to launch a website where users could anonymously vent about situations in their life varying from the mildly annoying and humorous to the emotionally devastating. To her surprise, students began posting about corruption, abuse and harassment at the school. When she refused the administration’s demand to remove the posts, she was terminated. Soon after, she was contacted by someone familiar with the school who told her about a young woman named Felicia Mooradian who was repeatedly sexually harassed by one of the Franciscan Brothers teaching at St. Francis Prep. The two women connected, and what transpired was a mission to expose a thirty-year history of systemic abuse, cover-ups and retaliation against victims, all against the backdrop of one powerful little website that allowed users to post information anonymously. Ms. Cucinotta Sorvillo, after exposing four of the worst pedophile Franciscan Brothers in history, and publishing over 40 blogs detailing the hypocrisy behind this educational institution, was recently added to the official list of church whistleblowers on BishopAccountability.org.

ELIZABETH CUCINOTTA SORVILLO is an attorney, author, mother, and advocate for children, sex abuse survivors and animals. She has been named to the list of Catholic clergy abuse whistleblowers by BishopAccountability.org and consulted for the top school sexual abuse attorneys in the United States. She has provided critical information to private investigators, and several state departments of education and Catholic dioceses. She is currently consulting on several sexual assault and harassment cases, as well as working on investigations regarding multi-state corporate scams. She graduated summa cum laude from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business, and is a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for Legal Research and Writing.
