SURVIVING "TERMINAL" CANCER: 24-Years & Counting
Description
It’s been 24 years beyond my so-called “terminal cancer” (and still counting). When people find out my cancer prognosis was that my cancer was caught far too late for it to be survivable, they want to know what I did—how I managed to survive. First of all, I walked out on the doctor who told me that if I didn’t do anything, I’d be dead in 2 months and if I did everything possible I might make it 2 years—if I was lucky—but would probably not live to see my 50th birthday so should get my affairs in order. There’s no room for pessimism in surviving cancer; so I replaced him with an optimistic doctor with multiple ideas of what to do to survive (and available medical procedures were only a small part of that). This book tells what I did, what I avoided doing, and what I’m continuing to do 24 years “beyond terminal”—delightfully healthy, happy, and still counting. Of course each person is different, so each would do what fits for them; but my telling what I did can serve as an example to provide ideas and guidelines plus important generalities to go by.
