Mechanics of Bird Flight

This book goes over the basics of what it takes to make a bird fly. It covers the basic types of flying including flapping, soaring/gliding, and diving. It also gives examples of what type of birds prefer which kind of flying. For example, Eagles can often be seen soaring in large circles, but they dive for fish that are close to the surface of the water. This book has been successful in the classroom and in homeschool environments.
