Waiting for the Rain: a short story about a summer afternoon in India

This is a book set in the summer of 1962. India has just been independent for about 15 years. A few people in the village of Balarampur in Bengal sit around and pass a hot summer day in the village.
This short story is based on how I saw and heard about the Indian village life those days. It may be nostalgic to some, just to hear about the slow pace of life. I hope my dear readers will like it.
