Tyler's Magic Word Box

Tyler is a young boy with autism searching for his words. When his teacher gives him a magic word box, he is able to find the words that previously eluded him.

Young children often show delight when they learn a new word and use it correctly. Language comes easily to most of us. Communication is such a big part of defining who we are, sharing our thoughts, expressing our desires and making our way in the world. To children with autism and Aspergers, the act of speaking and putting words together can be an awesome task. And we, as their parents, celebrate every utterance with jubilation.

This book is dedicated to the teachers and specialists who act as “Magic Word Boxes” to our young children and help them discover the wonder of their own voices.
