When Melvin Came to Town

While on a midnight stroll through downtown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Melvin meets Lourdes. The mysterious, young lady turns out to be a crack addict willing to do anything to earn money for her habit. Trapped in a world of prostitution, rape, robbery, murder, and drugs, he must use his ‘military training’ to escape the jaws of death on several occasions. After finally confronting demons from his past, Melvin must deal with the death and destruction awaiting those around him. Based on actual events that transpired in the life of a particular sailor, WHEN MELVIN CAME to TOWN takes a gritty look at what can happen to a military service member while home on leave.
