Bloody Sorcery
Description
Bloody Sorcery is a young adult and fantasy novel set in the fictional country of Kari. In Kari, there are several conflicting tribes. Two tribes; the Dekechis (short, forest people with cat-like eyes who live in trees) and the Nemas (strong, tall people whose women practice dark sorcery) feature in this book.
The novel begins with a fireside story about two sorceresses with powerful starves; Ychin and Lasedi. After Lasedi defeats Ychin (the evil sorceress) her staff becomes the most powerful in the land. Years later, Lasedi also dies. Surprisingly, her magical staff lays idle for centuries but continues to affect the tribes.
In efforts to control this powerful staff, the sorceresses will do the worst form of evil to get its attention.
Moselle, a halfbreed who struggles to fit in is caught up in the conflicts and sorcery. Things get worse when children start to disappear in mysterious circumstance; some are found dead. Moselle’s search for answers leads her to the enemy’s land where she has to deal with the bloody sorcery responsible for her people’s woes.
