Undercover or Covert robotics refers to the use of mobile robots with navigation abilities to carry out missions with stealth. Such robots would be useful in various high risk situations where safety and security are required. As a step towards building sophisticated mobile robotic systems that can accomplish a typical covert mission, a number of new covert path planning strategies have been introduced in this Book. The aim is to minimize a mobile robot’s exposure to known or unknown vantage points (sentry positions) within an obstacle strewn environment.
