CHARLIE BROWN, SNIPER: The Vietnam War (Best Snipers Series Book 8)

WARNING: This is a short story. Almost three thousand five hundred words long. It is a true story about real people. If you were in Nam you might have known them. For obvious reasons they called this VC sniper, Charlie Brown. He is a nuisance sniper, shooting from a position where no one can possibly see him. He does this each day because no one can see to find him.

A new skipper asks the snipers on Hill 55 to send someone to take care of this guy. A couple Marine snipers come and they make a surprising discovery. To find the sniper they have to look where he isn’t. Since it is impossible to take him out the usual way, they come up with a unique solution that works perfectly. The only thing different is that afterward they never talk about it. Nobody does. After this story you will know why they never talk about it. You may be able to read this story during several coffee breaks but then take the time to consider what this Marine sniper’s solution means for everyone concerned. Including the Marine sniper himself. All they ever said grimly was, “Problem solved. Semper Fi ” Probably happened more often than we know. But tough guys don’t talk about that. So when you read it, and know what they did, honor them by remembering it. Semper Fi.
