A young, energetic Baptist preacher who "pioneered in the faith" in South Texas as a missionary to northern Mexico, set a spiritual foundation for hundreds of Baptist Churches and thousands of Baptists across the wide expanse of "brush land" on both sides of the Rio Grande.
