Jack and Alice have dark places in their past where they don’t like to go. Both have secrets, but not from each other.
Jack had fallen in love with the quiet seaside village on his first visit years before. So when he needed a place to bring Alice, his new love, to recover from devastating news, the sleepy, picturesque bay appeared to be the perfect place. But all is not what it seems in this idyllic retreat. Lurking beneath the surface is a presence unnoticed by the warm and welcoming residents, and it is getting more bold.
When people’s sleep is invaded; objects appear in the sand; and a skull is found on the beach; Jack’s sleep deprived writer’s mind struggles to put the pieces of the puzzle together. His new friends are threatened and Alice disappears. An almost forgotten nightmare seems to be coming true.
Drawing strength from his love for the woman he values more than life itself, he confronts the Fade in a bid to save her. But is their love for each other strong enough to save them all?
