Classic Movie Monthly #1: Child of Manhattan, The Strawberry Blonde, Death on the Diamond (Immortal Ephemera)

Premiere issue! Classic Movie Monthly presents a brand new Golden Age Hollywood history each month in addition to some of the greatest hits from the popular Immortal Ephemera website.

This issue features all an all-new extended article about Child of Manhattan (1933), a pre-Code film from Columbia adapted from a play by Preston Sturges. Child of Manhattan stars John Boles as a Manhattan millionaire who falls in love with a taxi-dancer played by Nancy Carroll.

This number also features previously posted articles from the Immortal Ephemera archives covering baseball-murder mystery Death on the Diamond (1934) starring Robert Young and Madge Evans, and Raoul Walsh's popular slice of nostalgia The Strawberry Blonde (1941) starring James Cagney and Olivia de Havilland.
