Lake of Destiny: A Scottish Legends Novel (Celtic Legends Collection)

A magical novel about family, destiny, food, men in kilts, and the sometimes twisted path to love. "Delightful, charming, and heartwarming!" NYT bestselling author Wendy Higgins

Helping her aunt organize a festival in the Scottish Highlands where Rob Roy MacGregor once lived seems like the perfect escape from Anna Cameron's broken engagement. But to succeed, she'll have to wrangle kilt-wearing villagers, dangerous sheep, and the reclusive laird of the glen who refuses to open his property to the public for the ancient tradition of "Sighting."

To locals, the glen has always been known as a "thin" place, one where the veil between worlds peels back once a year to reflect the face of one's true love. The tradition should draw tourists by the busload--but that's exactly what Connal MacGregor doesn't want. Not when he's desperate to keep himself and his daughter out of the public eye.

Struggling to mediate between Connal and the needs of the village, Anna finds herself falling in love--with Connal and his disfigured daughter, with the villagers, and with the enchanting glen itself. But opening the "Sighting" to strangers risks revealing generations of family secrets and exposes deep scars in both Anna and Connal. Confronting those wounds could either set them both free to finally love with their whole hearts, or it could endanger their every chance of happiness.

A wonderfully romantic story filled with love and healing, perfect for fans of the heartwarming romances of Nora Roberts, Susan Wiggs, Maddie Dawson, Susan Mallery, and Inglath Cooper, as well as Sarah Addison Allen's magical women's fiction and Susanna Kearsley's suspenseful love stories with a historical sense of place.
