V B Bhandari is a reputed national scholar. He completed his engineering and masters from Pune University. He was the head of the mechanical engineering department at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune and taught at government colleges in different cities for 38 years. In his academic career at Pune university, he bagged five prizes. He is the member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Institution of Production Engineers, and other societies. He is also the author of Introduction To Machine Design.
