In ancient Egypt, when one sought the intervention of the gods the deities were represented by statues, or small figures of wood, with gold heads, covered with elaborately patterned drapery. These figures were placed upon an altar that was set out in a special area of the home. You do not have to do anything so elaborate. You will be working in a much more simplified manner, one that easily adapts itself to modern living.
