A double-decker bus in a traditional red colour, modelled on a London Routemaster is a real must-have for block models collectors! Its scale is 1:35. Although Routemaster became popular in 1960s, they could be seen yet in 1959 together with trolleybuses functioning at that time. When trolleybuses went out of use, Routemaster gained exclusivity for bus service. They were present on London streets until 2005 when, after winning the elections, the mayor of London decided to withdraw red buses from public transport because of passengers safety (each year a few passengers fell off the back platform). Today the Routemasters are a kind of entertainment for the British in unused buses there are offices, cafes, etc. In 2008 the Routemasters returned in their traditional red colour, but in latest generation it appears as the New Routemaster. Now you can build this traditional London bus with COBI blocks it has all elements of a real Routemaster! In the bus there are passenger seats, entrance at the back of the bus, stairs leading to the upper part, a drivers cabin. Thanks to operable roof, the access to the bus is easier. Its also possible to take off the upper part of the bus and put figures-passengers on the first floor. A figure of a driver in navy blue uniform is added to the set.
