The significance of learning English cannot be overstated in an increasingly interconnected and globalized world. Working knowledge of the English language can create many opportunities in international markets and regions. Keeping this in mind, English as a subject is introduced in the syllabus in the first year of RGPV, Bhopal. In the highly competitive scene in the country, students with effective knowledge of English, in addition to the subject knowledge have an immense advantage over others.

The present book comprises all aspects of the new syllabus of English, a compulsory paper for B.E. students of first year of all Engineering Colleges, affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal (University of Technology, Madhya Pradesh).
